okay, so i might not being going over the rainbow to oz, but i am going to the british isles (also known as ireland, scotland, and great britain)! come may 18th, i'll be hopping on a plane to study abroad amidst castles, kilts, and rolling green hills. needless to say, i'm excited. this will be the third summer in a row that i take that eleven-hour flight to the european continent, but it'll be my first time traveling to places in the uk other than london, and it'll be my longest trip to europe yet. we'll be going all over the place, from dublin to dingle; edinburgh to glasgow; londonderry to london, england. & we'll be visiting the home towns of amazing literary figures like jane austen, james joyce, c.s. lewis, j.r.r. tolkein, frank mccourt, william yeats, robert louis stevenson, george bernard shaw, and william shakespeare...just to name a few. (the english major inside of me is psyched). i don't want to forget a single place we go or a single moment of the trip--hence this blog. so come along with me; i'll be sharing all my memories as i make them. only twenty days until i go! and in the mean time, isle be seeing you...
